Dr. Ehsanur Rahman

Welcome to my website.

I am an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).  I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from BUET.  Fueled by a passion for clean energy, I pursued a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Canada, focusing on static heat-to-electricity conversion.

My research playground? Anything that converts energy!  From capturing sunlight in novel solar cells to harnessing waste heat for electricity, my interests span Thermionic and Next Generation Solar Cells, Near-Field Thermophotovoltaics, Fuel Cell-based Cogeneration Systems, Thermophotonics and more.  I'm also exploring the exciting world of nanoelectronics, using quantum mechanical simulations to design next-generation devices and biosensors.
